The blue color looks ok. Changing the color would be last on the list for sure. New carpet and a steering wheel would be first on the list in my mind. I love the blue carpet when new.

This is true. blue aint too bad... if blue race seats tickle your fancy, it looks cool.

So if you are still thinking about the black interior, there is a listing for a nice looking rear carpet in black on ebay. That would be a start.

About the value, I agree with Clokker about the collector value except for a showroom AE or turbo but I believe big value comes with the engine. Up to date power and suspension upgrades done right with a great stock looking 2nd gen may make for a valuable car. just my opinion from watching the auto auctions on cable tv. Either way, build the car the way you think you want it. If you have the means and do it right you will have a super car and who knows, someone may offer you a good price one day.
