1989 rex slowing down...

OK couple of questions -- my 89 (NA) pulls to about 7500 then kinda slows and backs off... I changed the air filter, plugs, no new wires had to order them -- everything else is fine... so whats the deal?!?!

and -- If i were to replace my cats with tubing whose system would you recommend -- i saw one on rx7.com (but it wasnt straight piping) and one on racing beat...

thanks

if you look at a dyno sheet for a 2nd gen pull you will see that most of the power of the motor drops off like 500-300 before redline. it basically peaks then drops off.

perhaps this is what your getting.
