1988 RX-7 Vert Transmission Rebuild

Can anyone recommend a good RX7 shop in Atlanta that can rebuild a transmission? The guys at MAZCARE are a little busy right now and don't seem to have time and I need to quit paying for this rental.

Thanks,

JAM

I cannot speak for others, but I once had an fc with 20k on its rebuilt manual gearbox. Had 150k when the box was rebuilt by AAMCO. Pretty sure its still going, wherever the car may be these days. Call down to gran turismo east in chamblee and ask them where they suggest.

Uhh..
I really hope a girl typed that!

OP:if you do not mind used Transmissions,I am sure you can find one on this Forum.
When someone gets a N/A it isn't long before you hear " I wanna turbo it",so there are a lot of N/A transmissions being pulled and replaced with TII Transmissions.

From the sounds of it sometimes you also have someone else's sausage.

BTW that was not all derogatory, you can do whatever the hell you want with sausages and I do not care.

On a more serious note, there is a manual transmission shop up here in Greenville, SC that could probably do it.

There's nothing special about the transmission. Any transmission shop can perform a rebuild.

Though you may find it much more economic to just find a good used replacement. A rebuild will be $600 minimum while you can find a used one starting at $0.
