You guys are still missing a big piece of this.

Its an LX not an EX! Theres a BIG BIG difference.

For everyone saying that the accord would smoke the FC, you would be right if we were talking about the EX but he did say LX in his first post.

We're comparing two mid 16 second cars. If you think you need a turbo to beat an accord LX just because its a v6, well i feel sorry for you if thats true.

I have a tII and i'm not being biased whatsoever because neither of those cars is actually very fast. The FC is way more outdated tho, and with some simple breath-ability mods you could beat the LX EASILY. Trust me i know from experience.

And all the turbo guys here... stop talking out of your asses. Who cares if you can beat some NA cars with your turbo, personally i dont think thats anything to be particularly proud of. I wont be happy with mine until it can beat my friend h22 civic which is NA and I will most likely need a bigger turbo just to do that. Once your turbo hits a flat 13 then you can start bragging, until then shut the **** up please. Turbo FCs aren't exactly anything to write home about either.

@AHarada
That sounds about right for your car vs a stock FC. But just because a car has a v6 doesn't mean it is faster, the LX accord is actually slower than your car. In many jap cars the v6 models are more luxury designed with 4 doors and plush interior. If you go to a mazda dealership and ask them for the sportiest mazda 6, they will take you to a 4 not 6 cylinder version.

I'd have to say N/A Automatic was pretty fun even though I'veonly driven two RX-7's both automatic one a 1st and the other a 2nd gen.

On my joy ride experences I could get the 2nd gen to 80+mph pretty quick and not be afriad of crashing, I've "kinda" driven a old old civic stick and I was too afraid to do anything crazy.

Racing the two I'd say the 7 would win on alot of turns, I took some pretty wild turns going 40-70 in the 7 with minimal sliding.

i raced a 1998 accord EX i4 with my 87 SleVin both were bone stock it was almost a dead even race. Both were manual 5 spd. We raced 3 times and i won twice by a nose and lost once because i missed a shift. For the most part it was even. He put a header, cold air intake and pullies he wants to race again but i know he will eat me....

the simple fact is....you're car is almost 20 years old...the fact that it is still on the road in good condition is a miracle in itself...now if the accord can't respect that....then he's a douche bag...

I have a '90 GXL, and i wouldn't trade it for anything...it's my first car and it'll be my last...and don't get it twisted those n/a's are pretty fast..but from a dead stop, they have no low end torque, so it might be pretty close at the end..i don't know..give it a shot and let us know..lol

Too bad Renesis doesn't have the torque to go with it.
