1987 Rx7 Turbo Swap

i have a 1987 turbo 2 with a shitty body and a 1987 rx7 SE with an excellent body i wanna swap all my turbo stuff into the se. is there any wiring change other than the main engine harness? do i have to change the harness behind the dash?

well if the wiring behind the dash is the same then there is no reason for me to change it right?

And I wouldn't worry about wiring up the dash boost gauge. I'm sure it can be done but not worth it IMHO. Just install a nice A-pillar dual gage pod with boost and fuel pressures.

BTW, the engine (or more correctly EM or emissions harness) is a cinch to swap. Your existing harness on the drivers side (front harness) should have all the wires you need for the turbo, but I'm not sure if the pin outs are the same--easy enough to check though.

Ewwwwww! Scary! Someone calling the harnesses by their right name. Unprecedented (RX7FORLIFE)

On the turboii, the two small wires for the alt are on the Engine Harness, but on the non-turbo those two small wires are on the Emissions Harness. So you have to deal with that if you change the Emission Harness from non turbo to turbo.

what is this emission harness you speak of? you mean the engine harness that goes to the computer--jeremie
