1987 GXL Running hot And have to boost to start!

1987 GXL Running hot And have to boost to start!
I have a 1987 Rx7 GXL that i am having problems that i have to boost everytime i put 3 new batterys and still have to boost to start. Anyone know what the problem is? Also i can't get it to stop running hot.... dune put 3 therms. in it and cleaned radiator and still runs hot. any suggestions?
