1986 gxl

i just bought a 1986 gxl, and when shifting into 2nd and 3rd gear the synchros sometimes grind. It also has an exhaust leak and i was wondering if the same exhaust systems made for turbos fit the NA like the apexi catback or others

change the transmission fluid, then go from there. That should solve most tranny issues with grinding.

a Turbo exhaust on a non turbo car will generally result in a lower HP gain than the correct sized exhaust.

For example a HKS exhaust uses a 50 mm ID for a non turbo, and a 60mm for a turbo. The larger size on a non turbo results in lower exhaust volocity
