Question 19" wheels and color poll

Would these fit unmodified or is 18" the max like all the wheel dealer websites say? Maybe even 20"? I'm not worried about speedometer error, but don't want rubbing tires either (car is stock height). Also what color rims besides chrome for a Arctic Silver?

come on, 18 is plenty big.

whatever you do... don't disgrace my color. I might just have to sell because of you.

I put 18's on my car, and they look very good; but I'm definitely at the limit of what I can fit. 19's are going to require rubber bands, not tires.

Thanks. So 18" do fill up the wheel well pretty good? What width rims and what size tires did you put on it? I don't have anything against chrome, just don't want it on my car, I want something different. Was thinking about the white Team Dynamics Motorsport or Monza rims.

I used Konig Villains: 18x8, +30 mm offset with 225/40/18 up front; 18x9, +30 mm offset with 275/35/18 out back. The rears rub the fenders over bumps, so I have to roll the rear fenders a little bit. For now I'm using some old 16" wheels I have. I posted pictures last month in a post called "pictures of fc with 18's."

I've seen 19's on an FC and they looked too large for the car. 18's are the perfect size.

well, if he's asking for 19s or 20s, I think he's wanting the biggest wheels he can. So 18s are good. I would say gunmetal would be good. that or any type of darker grey. somewhat shiny, but not chrome. but that's what I think.

i have bronze 17" volk racing se37k on my black TII. they are 17x7.5 +40 and 17x9 +40, using 235-40-17 and 255-40-17. I have no problem with them and i think 18's should be the same with this offset.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I just want rims and tires that fill up the wheel wells pretty good and give good traction, thinking of getting Falken tires. As far as which rim or where to buy I don't know yet. Was it rubbing because of the width or the height? Got any pics of a gunmetal rim?

rah traction, more like rice. Even with 20 or 21 inch. max width you are probably gonna fit without major mods is 245 in the fronts, if you get wheels that are wide enough, you can get 245x8 or something. You do get a lower profile, but the weight and the screwed up balance will ruin the handling more than anything else

I'll stick with 18". Just thought those would end up being the factory height so that the speedometer would match (which doesn't bother me if it doesn't) since discount tire is where I saw that at.

why r u guys calling 18' tires rice??
making your car look good isnt rice. u dont want huge gaps in your wheel wells.

What do you guys think of Konig Tantrums...17x7 up front(what tire size?) & 17x9 in back(again what tire size?)? I want to drop the car so it looks perfect so I want the rims first. I also want basically the widest tires in back that I can get with no rubbing. Let me hear your opinions. Thanks.

TII Wheels

I have 18 inch konig caffeine in my t2 30mm offset with 225/40/18
but i was going to put 19 in it,just couldn't find wheels. But if you find them you can use 235/35/19 tires and it wont affect the speedo so watch out for the potholes.Good luck

Pics

Here is a pic of the side of the car, any suggestions for what rim to get or where to get them? I'm in MI. The rims on it are off the non running RX-7 I'm trying to sell because they are new and will get me by till I get something else (ran over a screw with the stock tires and rims.)

Hey Hey Hey...nothing wrong with those rims, hehe. I personally like them best out of all the rx7 rims made besides the 3rd gen.
