Exclamation borke twin scroll control line!

hey guys,

well you know twin scroll control thingy. the one that has the c clip and the little rod that controls the flapper in the exh mani. well that part isnt the problem. its the other metal line that is bolted on the front of the acuator itself.

it is the one that goes under everything and connects up to a line on around where the egr is at.

my question is. can i just put a silicone hose between those too metal lines that broke and clamp em down? cause there is a metal line still on the acuator, and where it connects up there, but it snapped right in between.

thanks

Shoot yes. Its just a vacuum line. Gets a little hot in that area but it ought to work just fine.

cool thanks.

i will mention a flapper door below too, but this one is diff. its not on the exhaust side, but on the manifold. the acuator line i broke also has that shorter rod on it and it controls this door. can i just remove all of this? and cap off teh hole here?

and the other door on the exhaust side of the turbo. its the one you pull off to port the wastegate. well is that supposed to be on there really tight?

i have an older turbo and the door just popped off with ease. but the turbo i plan on installing is like really tight on there?

thanks again hailers

i just want to simplify things. i heard you might loose alittle low end by removing the twin scroll acuator. but i realy like a clean engine bay

i heard i can just take out the flapper in the exh mani, take out the acuator, and cap off that vacuum line i broke. is this stuff okay to do?

sorry for the questions, i just want to get all this junk back in.

sorry. i meant the twin scroll control unit. not the wastegate acuator. anyways i was talking to paul ko, and he said to remove all of the ****. like remove flapper from exh mani, control thing, and cap that vacuum line.

you will lose a tiny low end he said, but gain it back on the top.
sounds good, and i will be losing a whole 1lb...haha. and clean up the bay a bit.
