Is a 17x10 possible in the rear?

With the correct offset will a 17x10 fit in the rear. I've searched and couldn't find much useful info on this so I'd thought I'd ask. I have the choice of a +12, +25 and +35mm offset on the wheels I want to get. Is it possible or should I just settle with a 17x9?

Just as long as you realize how much tires will cost to fit a 17x10" rim .

I know 17x9.5 fits - my old roommate Jay has that on his car right now. 17x10 would probably fit, but you'd really have to get the right offset. Also, 10" wide might limit your tire choices as well - many tires would just not be wide enough for the rim.

Well at $500 a pop for the wheels I was expecting to pay a good penny for some tires. I just have to find someone that has done this so I get the right offset. I'll probally be out in the garage tonight with the good old measuring tape.

17x10's will work on the rear with the correct offest and back spacing.......Great size wheel, but 265's are the widest you can go....maybe 275's if you roll the fenders

+12 would work; +25 would be tight.
Anything over 255 is iffy in the stock wheel wells, which makes these rims a waste of money for stock fenders.&nbsp 10" rims can accomodate up to a 315 wide tire, if you got the clearance - why add weight?&nbsp Stick with the 9" rim for less weight if you're going to keep the stock fenders.

Not to mention a 9" wide rim is a TON of rubber on the road!

BTW, Jay was running a 9.5" wide rim with 265 Yokohama Intermediates in the rear - no rubbing or fitment problems at all, and the car is lowered like crazy on Ground Control coilovers.

Yeah...depending on backspacing. +25 would be pretty tight....but, would work. Again, this all depends on the type of wheel
