Nothing looks "good" w/that much fender gap. But they could work, slammed, or in a diff color

The offset is too high also they will be sunken in too much when you lower it. Maybe throw some spacers on and they can look nice.

The reason I asked about these is because I'm gonna purchase a set for about $250 without tires, I cant got wrong with that price, and its a nice upgrade from my stock GXL 15" wheels.

Just so long as you get the right year - the first STi wheels (the 7.5s) were 5x100.

Wait.... Are you one of those 'hella flush' kids? What is the offset?

Also, what year are these off of? + How much do they weigh. If they aren't too heavy then I might get some.

there is a difference between "hellu flush" types and those that don't want to have 4 inch gap from the fender to the wheel center and top...

The OP had stated that the pics of the car is not his, He was looking for opinions on actual wheel itself & that's what he could find.

You missed the point of the OP's question, He didn't ask if we thought that the red car looked good

This seems to be a real issue with you & I think that you may need to relax a little. I have said it before we all know where you stand on stance, therefore it's not nessary to hear it in every thread. Did you know the offset of the wheels when you made your 1st comment? You mentioned spacers right, did he every say he wasn't using them?

I'm not taking sides, but this is starting to happen to much & is taking the threads in the wrong direction. Soon all the threads are going to be about STANCE or WHEEL fit.

For $250, do it in a heartbeat, anything is better than the stockers.

That being said, FC's look better w/ wheels that have some kind of lip, which usually requires an offset lower thatn +50 or whatever these are. AWD cars (STi's EVo's etc) tend to have lip-less high offset wheels which look alright on those high roofline "MY fender gap has a purpose" type vehicles, but is far from ideal asthetically on the lower, more sleek silohuette of a RX-7.

There was a guy on here that was rockin some E46 BMW wheels which look very similar to these (except they're 18" -damn small looking 18's though, and I think they may have had an extra spoke or 2). Point is, he pulled them off, low pro tires, slammed, may or may not have had a kit...but I'm pretty sure they'd look like *** on a stock body FC.

Cliff Notes: Better than stock. Great Value. Can be tight, but not w/o some creative fitment.

they may look bad because they where designed for a car with a high offset. Regardless if his personal taste is for low offset wheels, these wheels may have suspension clearance issues without spacers.

I bought them, but im gonna save up some money so I can purchase some good tires, for now im gonna work on painting them since the dude painted them red, each pair has a different shade of red so that makes it worse then just being red,(homebrew paintjob too). pretty good deal tho for $200, center caps and everything.

I just dont understand why someone would rattle can paint a nice pair of bbs wheels :/

Now, this pic was taken back in 2004, before any of this 'hellaflush' stuff was even around. I know the backs could 'use some spacers' to look 'better' or I could reduce some of the camber. But I just wanted some decently light wide rims to use on the track. I think I accomplished my goal for that. Not hating at all, everyone has their own taste.

I completely agree. On 7's, they look/work best slammed down lower with nice stiff suspension.

dang 53 offset that's crazy. My 16x7 with a et32 had a caliper and tein springs clearance issue I needed spacers and longer studs. But good luck. I noticed the front is what gives us wheel problems.
