13BT VS. 13B with supercharger, guest referee 13BRE
hey guys i just wanna know which engine would produce more horses if i had em all at stock and put about 2 -3 grand into them. so basically everything is constant cept for the engines.
i know T2 has 200bhp - 200lbs torque
N/A = 160bhp - 140lbs torque supercharger adds 25-35 to each??
13bre = ? -?
so my question again is if i put 2-3 grand into the 3 of these engins seperatly which engine would produce more hp, and the ratio to $-hp worth?

not sure if i am experienced enough to comment...
however, if you were looking for all horsepower/torque and not efficiency, then i would probly go for the 13bre. the stock tII is just kind of weak compared to the 13bre. The ports arent as large, it has a smaller compression ratio, and correct me if i am wrong, but i am sure the irons cant handle as much power (again, correct me if i am wrong). aside from that, the manifolds seem to be a little more efficient as far as flow is concerned. But, it will take you all of 3 grand to put one in anyway....i hear that turbo'd n/a's do pretty well...namely from the 5th and 6th ports that the tII engine only has 4. if youre lucky, the more experienced of the forum board may answer back and elaborate on anything. but, if i had the money, i would go 13bre.

thanks for the post, but what i meant from the 2-3 grand into the engines is to say. hypothetically speaking i already have those 3 engines installed and i want to put 2-3 grand seperate from the install, and to focus that 2-3 grand into just working on gaining performance

With $2000-$3000 Canadian, and based on the questions you are asking, I would say to go with the straightforward TII swap. The only issue is finding a parts car, or entire TII drivetrain.

A turbo made from parts of two (or more) other turbochargers. Basically an easy to using components from the stock turbo (so it still bolts to the manifold) and other models (generally some form of the T4) to make a better turbo.
