Question 13bt swap? questions?

so i have an s4 na fc

soo an apex seal went out about 2 weeks ago, and im doing a s4 13bt swap now..
ive heard from a few people, that i can run the na s4 harness wtih the motor, and same with the ecu, should i just spend the money and get an ecu and harness?

i've also heard that aif i use my tranny, it will eventually explode..i plan on geting the t2 tranny at some point, but right now moneys lacking...

s4 gonna be different than that link. Use the na harness, it is much easier. Search for hailers and harness, lots of **** will come up. My na transmission has been my abused slutwhore for the past year with no issues in my na to t2 swap. Aaroncake has 387whp on his na trans. Get a 156 dollar six puck xtd set up for an na trans off ebay, break it in, then drive the car. It has worked for me. Just make sure to use throttle cable, pressure sensor, and maf off the turbo. wiring is as cake as it comes.

if you search there are a lot of answers out there.

i would not recommend using the N/A harness and ECU. Your engine wont be running correctly and to its full potential if you do due to different map settings and timing on the N/A ECU and you also run the chance of detonating from a more advanced timing. There is a reason they used different parts between the two from the factory.

I have seen a completely stock TII motor swap explode a N/A trans. and gash a gaping hole in the transmission tunnel. actually, it was in the shell I am about to buy. the N/A transmissions are supposedly only good up to 200 HP or so. some can handle more and some can barely handle an N/A motor. its a hit and miss kinda thing, but its better to get the TII drive train as well with the motor.
