13bt in my na 89 gxl

Thank you guys for all your help!!! Ive solved my rich fuel problem. Thanx, um i was wanting to put a 13bt in and take out the na. I want to make a respectful 320 hp. I don't much about rotaries, please give me some tips. Do you guys think I should replace the seals when I buy the motor? a 2mm port and polish... does that sound good... I was thinking of a T4 turbo... Please lead me in the right direction. Oh by the way Im getting the S5 13bt and it's gonna cost me $1200.
I have a 89 gxl w aluminum motor mounts, 3 core radiator from moroso, megan exhaust.
Give me all the help you guys can give, I know this question has been answered in this forum. I just want a more direct answer!! thanks again!!1

1) It will be easier to drop in the same series. 89 = S5. So I would find an S5 turbo engine to drop in. (You mentioned you would like to get an S4 but are getting an S5)

2) Replacing the seals: You could/should do a rebuild on the engine depending on where you get it from. If its JDM imported its probably a good idea unless you order from a reputable dealer (Japan2LA is one of the very few).

3) In the Archive there is a thread on the JDM swap. Very good write up. I would read that over a few times and make sure that you are familiar with the FSM and have a copy handy when your doing the swap.

4) If you are keeping your N/A transmission remember that you will need to use the N/A flywheel.

Good luck.

I am Hoping that you realize that NOT all JDM engines are Runners.I wouldn't be Looking for "bargain Engines".I would be looking for one that Actually will run when installed.
No Ebay stuff.It's a gamble.

You need to do more research before you purchase anything. If you do not, you will regret it.
