13bre manifolds on s4 block???

ok so in my continually failing quest to put together an RE motor swap into my 87 turbo car ive kinda found an alternative route and just wondering if it would work since i cant seem to locate a good deal on an RE motor but ive come across a set of RE manifolds for sale......

so the question is would the RE manifolds mate up with an S4 block? naturally id be rebuilding the S4 block and porting it out so intake and exhaust port sizing wouldnt be an issue.....

and if they do match up what would the plus or negatives be to not swapping the entire RE motor instead....

obviously it makes for a cheaper build not having to get custom mounts etc but what else?

if the RE bolt and port pattern is the same as the REW then there is no possible way... unless you are very creative and weld on extra flange material and relocate and weld in holes, definately not worth the hassel

id swap the motor.. or go with an aftermarket manifold

i was trying a couple days ago to mount up a 13b manifold to a 13brew....... it is very differnt, I am a good fabricator and didnt think it was worth it

If your gonna be running some power id def swap the engine anyway...... just for the huge increase in the dowel castings.. that is why i am swapping, cracked my s5 iron, and the s4 is even smaller

my opinion
