13b in a sea doo

i was on my sea doo forum the other day and theres a guy there who has succesfully implanted a 86 13b in a sea doo. he has some videos there and that thing is cool. he actually wants to mod it up with a turbo or supercharger engine later on down the road....nuts!!

wasnt really sure which place to post this but i thought someone might be interested cuz its cool as ****. if your buying a watertoy soon maybe you wait he will eventually work up a conversion kit i think. may be going rotary on my doo soon. if any interest i will post the site or the thread for the videos and some pics

A 13B in a sea doo?!?!? Heheheh..the motor already sounds like an inboard-outboard boat motor, so why not put it in a water craft?

actually one of the rx7 guys that i hang out with ona regualr basis has a see doo jet ski thing that he has moddified and i have talked to him about dropping a rotary in there and he says it owuldnt be worth it. cuz the one he has in there now puts out about 170hp and weighs less than a rotary. i even brought up turbo and all that bs and he still sayds no. so i say its still cool even though not practical.

right now hes just using an 86 stock rotary with like 80,000 miles on it. think he bought it for a couple hundred bucks. when he upgrades the engine he mentioned he may go with the lightweight aluminum deal (im not familiar with it but i guess theyre out there)

also for the guy whos buddy has a sea doo, he wont get much more than 170 hp out of his engine (i have no idea which engine puts out that much hp but it must be modded to hell using at least 92 octane) just think of the possibilities a few more pounds for the rotary in stock condition and hes got reliable hp all day long with 89 octane gas (like 150 hp? for 86 13b?) i want him to put in an 89+ 13b and rig up the 5,6 ports to open up and see how much faster it goes. the whole thing cant weigh more than 500-600 pounds. the acceleration must be ungodly. and eventually he can go as high as ? what are some of the mild tIIs getting for hp? 2 or 300? this will be interesting to see some day.

what about that sound when he went flying by....all rotary!!

That is horrendous. There is absolutely no reason to have a sea-doo like that. I'd like to see him wipe after he's topped it out. You'd lose most of your clothes/skin. Not to mention die.

RB sells aluminum end and intermediate housings to replace the stock cast iron ones. If you were spending that kind of money you might as well build it up to a 5-600 hp turbo monster...instant death :P

he claims in the original thread that the camera used to tape has a auto dampening or something so its alot louder in reality, than it seems, he also says he wears earplugs when he runs it and that people duck and cover when he rides bye...like theyre being shot at. im kinda getting a visual that is pretty damn funny. ill post the original thread with all of his calculations:
