why would we care if you posted here? this forum is for rotary enthusiasts not generation only and meant to help people in general, if the FD guys want to feel better than us then i'm fine with that but when i get an FD i won't think i'm better for owning a newer car.

True, but I just meant some of his questions were 3rd gen specific that maybe the 3rd gen people would be better at answering. We got it all worked out anyways it seems, so I guess it doesn't matter

For my next motor i plan on doing this stuff, can you guys find better prices or recommend something cheaper? the car will have all emissions removed, tb mod, port matching the runners, kill the difusers on the housings and do a port job on it, and a large street port or maybe more well heres the list, it'll probably be for a s5 na, but if i decide to go with a turbo II swap, it'll be about the same.

Engine Build:
Gasket Kit-48 (www.rotaryaviation.com)
O Ring kit-160 (www.rotaryaviation.com)
Pilot Bearing-11 (www.atkinsrotary.com)
Solid Thermal Pellet-11 (www.atkinsrotary.com)
3rd Gen Side Seals-132 (www.atkinsrotary.com)
Solid Corner Seals/Race Springs-95 (www.atkinsrotary.com)
RA Apex Seals/Springs-186 (www.rotaryaviation.com)
Rotor Bearings-43 (www.atkinsrotary.com)
Block Off plates-40
Injector Cleaning-60 (www.witchhunterperformance.com
Vacuum Hose-30
Thrust Bearings-15 (www.mazdatrix.com)
Oil Pump Chain-35 (www.mazdatrix.com)
Rotor O-Rings (www.mazdatrix.com)

the bearings, side seals and corner seals are not necessary for a rebuild unless they are worn beyond spec, the corner seals may be considered an upgrade but they do have their benefits and drawbacks..

The rotary aviation o-ring kit comes with the rotor oil rings.
For your side seals are you including the price of the springs for that? From atkins rotary the side seal set it's $102, and remember to replace the springs too. Also, if you're bent on using new ones that's fine, but lots of the time they'll still be within spec and you can wait to check on it when you open the motor up.
Same thing with the bearings, you can get new ones if you want, but you can also wait and check yours when you open the motor up. Also take into account that new bearings can double the break-in period.
For injector cleaning is that price for cleaning all four? A piece? Does that include shipping costs too? If not go through cruzinperformance.com because it's $12 per injector plus shipping for clean and flowtest.
Thrust bearings and oil pump chain can be inspected upon tear down, but again if you want new ones go ahead and those prices are fine.

I don't know what your desires are so that's why I was suggesting you can check some of the things upon teardown to see if it's actually not within spec. But if you like new stuff then have a ball

yeah, i put 132 because, 102 for the seals and 22.50 for the spring set, lol i dont' know where the extra 7.50 came from.

Yeah i'll see after my car is sold and i've got the money and everything planned, the motor will possibly be a hardcore one, or a basic build (daily beater car) and do a build on a TII later.

does cruzin "rebuild" the injectors? if they do thats a better price cause witchhunter does a rebuild, flow test before/after and clean, 60 bucks is for all 4, its 12 bucks a injector + about 10 bucks for them to ship it back to you

Heh i'm really stingy but if i want to do something it'll be done right, but if things are within spec why not? Thanks

luckily only PART of one of my apex seals broke off causing the loss of compression so it saved my rotor/housing/turbo.
