Karack, make a new post with everything that we have listed within this one. Be kind and credit the people who gave the information, and then let aaron and icemark know before you post it. That way, when they do see it, they'll just archive it.

Its sure as hell alot better than going through 4 pages of it.

Red face OKay let get things straight!?!

I just want to be sure about all of this. I need to rebuild my 93 touring twin-turbo. which is an 13bt. but its the same parts to rebuild as the 13b? Same gasket kit and all?

I'm going to do it all myself and I don't want to make any mistakes.

You need a 13bTT gasket kit, your 3rd gen has some different parts than 2nd gens.

First

Gasket Set 86-88 n/a - $130 - http://atkinsrotary.com/
This will NOT work for your car. That is for an 86-88 NA, you need a gasket kit for a 93-96 3rd gen 13BTT.

actually with the rotaryaviation seals and springs and the gasket kit you suggested, that should still be within my budget!!

so aside from the gasket kit, Everything else will work right?? I think I may go with the rotary aviation basic overhaul kit and use the other suggested items from the list!!
Do you think that will be a problem?

I don't know what parts are interchangeable with the 3rd gen, I'm assuming all of them are except the gasket kit yes. Why aren't you asking about this in the 3rd gen section?

I searched that section but this thread was so informative, Id be a fool not to ask here. I mean, you yourself may not have all the answers but somebody here might and probably does!

And thanks felixwankel88, thats exactly what I needed. !!!
I'm going to make a list of my own from this info to verify I have everything covered!!

And sorry if i upset anyone, I just wanna get my ride riding again!! You know!?!?!

From rotary aviation get:

Apex seals and springs $182/set (+ $6.00 shipping US/Canada) includes 6 apex seals and 12 springs - for 2 rotor engines
Installation gasket kit 93 - 95 TURBO $163.00
O-ring kit $153 plus $7.00 shipping US ONLY

From atkins rotary get
Side seal springs
Corner seal springs
Solid corner seals (because you said you wanted these, though your corner seals might be within spec)

Then get hylomar and RTV and stuff at an autoparts store, and while the engine is open inspect/measure everything else like side seals, corner seals, rotor o-ring springs, etc.

I also agree with dDubs list. I bought everything from Mazdatrix because I could pick them up that day. It was $870 with the oil thermo plug.

Buy one of the videos that are available. That thing was really.......really helpful.

I btw I have a peripheral rebuild kit available for $200.

What is a peripheral rebuild kit????? The little **** you don't think of ahead of time and you'll never use again. Just kidding, BUT somebody could make some good money putting something like that togehter.

I thought this thread was in the archives....closed

Wow, this thread is really great!

Quick question:

Someone suggested buying the 86-88 gasket kit, since the internal gaskets are the same as my 88TII.

Then, just buy the external gaskets that are actually needed. Will this work?

Probably, you could also just use RTV for the external parts instead of a gasket, works just fine.

Which means instead you could buy the RA o-ring kit and not worry about the installation gasket kit and only use RTV instead.
