Im going the same route as you.
13bRE engine in a s4 turbo2. Im gonna use s4 housings for better exhaust flow with a gt35r turbo.

Have you figured out how you can keep the PS pump? I need to keep it AND i got 3" IC piping :S ITs not alot of space there :S

No, still trying to find a way to splice in the stock ecu from the re as a stand-alone, and have the s4 ecu run the body stuff. I think with a little work I can get it.

iirc mazdatrix sells tII - n/a diff driveshafts

I know it seems odd, but the point is to have the motor put in for the absolute cheapest ammount possible. Buy the motor, radiator, mount adaptors and intercooler, do the work myself. I'm not building it to race it, just to drive it. All these extras are unnecessary for me. As for the sequential set-up, I'm not very well-versed in turbos at all. I can't even understand the sizing of them and how it dictates which one you need. I do know, however, that I can always learn. I'm good at that. I have faith that I can make them work.

i have to agree with ted. i once had this approach to my project - jumping head first without knowing the depths - but it didnt turn out so well. it sounds simple to put a bunch of car parts together but if you're planning on keeping the car running for a long period of time you have to make sure they work together. it's good experience but you dont want to make it an expensive one also.

good luck man

Anyone know how to modify the TB or the PS-pump to make everything fit?

I know it seems wrong to want to do this cheaply. I now have a TII Trans. I splurged! No, really, I want it sequential. No other way arounnd it. Stock ECU, stock sequential turbos, stock, stock, stock. I want it sequential so the manifold actually means something(you know, the sequenial sticker). Anyone can make it nonsequential and stuff it in. I wanna be somebody, be like Mike, take chances. I just wanted help. All I get are people telling me it's physically impossible, or that I'm taking the wrong path for this build. If I can keep them sequential and upgrade to bigger, similar mazda sequential twins, I'll be able to make power that is more useab;e than just standard turbo setups. The stock Cosmo ECU should still run it's stock engine set-up, as long as I can splice it in just like any other piggyback ecu would be. One solely motor, running sequential, then the stock FC ECU to run everything else. I just have to figure out where to splice in for the fuel pump, which really would be the only other thing that the cosmo ecu would need to run the motor. Everything else left on the car the FC ECU can run and operate properly just at keyover.

What am I missing? Some encoded law that I didn't inherit that says tough things are impossible so I should give up? Because I never got that ideal passed on to me. A lot of others haven't either, and now there's Haltech's running sequentials, there's people finding ways of boosting the stock twins in a stock setup to higher boost levels, while keeping them boosting properly, all while keeping them sequential. They didn't give up when everyone tried to persuade them to. All I want is some help with it. Not opinions stating I can't because of hear-say. Or I shouldn't because I can't make as much power. Poppycock. There's always a way, and from what I've seen, power gains are generally cheaper with sequential across the entire powerband. Good torque mods are hard to come by.

Sorry, really not mad, just tired of the people walking all day long back and forth over my dreams. I wanted help completing it, not advice to quit.

It's been over 4 months since your original post.
Do you have any pics of your progress?

I would love to provide photos. However, I would also like to own a camera.

I sold about every gizmo and gadget besides my computer to fund this. I'm a part-time minimum wage kinda guy.

And like I said, I still haven't got any help on this side-quest of mine. I still don't know what wire to ground for the neutral-safety switch, or to make it think it's not in park. Or how to piggyback it into a stock FC comp. Or where to find coils and igniters(or if I even need 'em.)
So, it's just a gutted barn-filler with a motor in a box. I'm really not an electrical kind of guy.

Not to thread jack but I'd like to know more about this swap. I've searched a bit which lead me here, is there any other threads with more details? I've already checked fc3spro but it's more of a cost evalution rather than a write-up... And would megasquirt work as a standalone? How much power does the RE produces stock? How much can it support, same as REW? I'd be grateful for any info you guys might have.
