12A Headers -> 13B?

12A Headers -> 13B?

headers from an '84 12A - will they fit on a 13B?

1st gen -> 2nd gen..

i wasnt sure where to post, but i thought the 2nd gen guys would have the best answer.

Absolutely, but you end up with a small exhaust leak:



Okay, seriously: no. The 13B has 10mm wider rotor sections, so the engine length is 20mm longer. Center to center, the 13B headers are , therefor, 10mm wider. This picture was my attempt at making 12A headers fit. I cut the headers in two, bolted it back to the engine, cut some exhaust tubing to match the gap, tacked it in place, then took the headers off and welded it all up. It works great, but it would be far easier to simply buy 13B headers for a 13B and 12A headers for a 12A.
