12a in 2nd Gens?

I've heard that some 2nd gens came with a 12a. I've never seen a 12a in any 2nd gen so I was just wondering if it was true or not.

I don't think they ever, eva eva eva ever made an FC with the 12a. According to the model difference in the sticky, they all came with 13b.

That's what I thought. I know some 13b were put into 1st gens, but this dude was just adamant about there being 12a's in FCs

13Bs were in the 84-85 GSL-SE. The 79-85 GS/GSL models all had carb'd 12As. I'd love to see a motor with around 40HP less in a car a few hundred pounds heavier...riiiight.

In Japan, there were also the 12AT's (turbo). I would love to get one if I had an SA/FB.

A 13BT would be much more fruitful and cost effective.

The 12at is limited to 6psi of boost. It has only 2 fuel injectors insted of primaries and secondaires, and also in non intercooled. Sure it has more power than a NA 12a but it's not worth the cost to bring one over and put in a US car.
