In 1988 Mazda also celebrated the first 10 years production of the RX-7 with a special, limited edition turbo model. The celebratory tenth anniversary model RX-7 came standard with many of the options found available on the other models including air conditioning, power steering, power windows, power door locks, electric side mirrors, electric sliding sunroof, cruise control, premium 120 watt stereo system, security system, black leather seats, as well as including 10th Anniversary specific only special Momo shifter and custom leather shift boot, special emblems, bronze tinted windows, special keys and leather wrapped steering wheel. These added options increased the 10th Anniversary edition to a Portly 3050 lb (as reported by Road & Track).

The 10th AE was exclusively available in a monochromatic crystal white finish. The body trim, tail lamp trim and the standard 16 inch alloy wheels were white. The monochromatic paint scheme set the 10th anniversary apart from any other RX-7. Production was limited to 1500.

I think the best feature for the anni edition is two things.

-leather seats
-gold tinted windows

My 10th AE seats are much more comfortable than my GXL leather seats, but too bad they don't have the tilt feature.

Owning a 10th Anniversary Special Edition Rx-7 Turbo brings with it certain privaliges and perks, partly due to their rarity, and partly due to the bronze windows. With a 10AE you may attend private parties of elite socialites. You'll no longer wait in lines at the bar, and you often recieve free gas. In addition, and other 10AE owners can back me up here, the women just won't leave you alone as soon as they find out you have one. Tell them it's one of 1500, and they just start giving you money to make repairs.

^^^ LOL WOW I thought I was the only one who knew all about that!! But the 10th AE is a 1988 Turbo II with a monochromatic WHITE color scheme some nice badges and all the bells and whistles on the interior. that's pretty much it.
