What year TII? I would go for the TII, it's cheaper.....the AE was all white with badges and some interior crap.....otherwise it was a normal TII.......save the 1000 bux and get the TII. my .02 cents

go for the TII, especially if you plan on doing something to it. why pay the extra $ for badging?

I'd try to talk the 10AE down a little bit (maybe $500 or so) and buy that. But even if you can't, you should still go with the AE.

i would by the t2. the 10th ae should be saved and not modded. i wouldnt want to buy a AE because its a collectors item. they need to be kept stock. if your gonna modd it to hell do it to one that there was more than 1500 of . another AE doesnt need to go to waste.

So, my AE has gone to waste because I've modded it? Or any TII goes to waste once you mod it? I disagree. My AE has so much more value than it did before... To whom, you may ask? To ME and that's the important thing. If the owner of his/her vehicle thinks his/her car is the best out there then thats all that matters, who cares if it's a bone stock Pinto or a modded AE RX-7. I believe "value" is what you make of it, and to me my car has increased in value since I've modded it.

My $.02

baron,
If I were you, I'd go with the AE. The all black interior is much improved over the blue, gray, or burgundy of a regular S4 FC and the bronze tinted windows and body colored moldings are nice touches as well. When I picked up my AE, I wasn't looking for one specifically, I just wanted another TII. I stumbled upon this one and took it for a drive. The seller wanted $1400 for it and I couldn't turn it down. There were some problems with it, but nothing major. The leather drivers seat was torn, the floor mats were shot, and the drivers side key tumbler had been changed. The engine ran strong and the body is in very good condition. The only mods at the time were a Racing Beat 2.5" down pipe and pre-silencer and the A/C had been removed.

I'm restoring my 10th AE to 100% stock. (had a pulsation damper fire.) It will be my daily driver anyways.

My next project will be another TII that is full blown with upgrades. I don't like having one single car that has a dual purpose. But hey, thats just me. I personally do not care if someone mods their AE or not. Japanese cars like a 10th AE won't really have collector car status anyways. Just as long as I don't see a 5 foot tall spoiler on one, I have no problems at all.

Get the AE!

I have two AEs now and I could not be more in love with a car.... One of mine is going to be restored to 100% stock, the other will be set up for autocross.

It's just flat neat to have something that there are so few of. Get the AE fo' sheezy.
