10th AE on Ebay here in Tucson

I just talked to the guy about the car, seems he was driving it and it just died, no spark. I am going to see the car sometime this week. I am not going to buy it, but if someone on the forum does, I will be more then happy to tow it over to my garage and see whats wrong/hold it till you can get to it. He needs to sell it by the end of next week.

no gold tint
no AE wheels
no AE badging

...

I'd make sure before I bought it, anyways

Hey says that the 10 badging got stolen, but it is in the 10 AE registry. Who knows? I am not buying it, I dont even know the guy who is selling it. I am just offering some assistance to you all on the forum should you decide to go for it.

i saw that car before i came home for the summer, its not in the best physical shape, but it would be worth fixing up for sure. it sounds like it could be an easy fix with the spark, i might get it if it were still for sale in a month when UofA fall semester starts.

I would love to have it, but I need to get rid of a few vehicles before I go TII shopping. Ive never seen the car around town, but then again, seeing an RX here in Tucson is a RARE event....

Anyone want to trade me a 1967 Firebird for a TII??

Can someone run a search on the VIN #?

VIN: JM1FC3328J0624078

Listing as around 65,000 miles. Sounds suspicious all by itself. But, if accurate, I have a friend that would probably be very interested.

J-Rat, did you check the main fuse's?

I havent even gone over to see the car. I have no doubt that I can get it running again. Like I said, I am not buying it, but I will be more then happy to represent anyone on the forum that is interested.. If it is a true 10th AE it would pain me to see it go to someone that wouldnt enjoy it for what it is.

I may go over and look it over just for kicks. I am definately NOT going to fix it for him just so he can raise the price. No offence to the individual intended.

Go see it for kicks.....

Well, please do. Interested in your observations. If you don't mind, PM me at lease the highlights so I don't have to search for the thread later on.

Thanks.

I dont mean to reference age when I say that, I only mean that I would hate to see it running around here with a double-decker wing and all that ****. I think 10th AEs should be left in stock, pristine form. But since its not my car, I dont get to make that decision. When I was 16 I loved 7s just as much as I do now that I am 30. The first car I ever drove as a kid is the same shiny red 7 I have parked in my garage right now.....

I told him that I would come out this weekend and check it out. I would be more then happy to give you my observations. Also, you can check the VIN against the 10AE registry. I dont know where the registry is though...Maybe FC3s.org?

Re: Can you ship a car that doesn't run from Arizona to Minnesota?

Does anyone know how much that would cost? I saw that car on e-bay this morning and want it very bad. Thanks.

Looks like an AE since it still has the white tails and white moldings. Looks like it's seen better days though.

I am sure you can, and there is a possibility that something minor is wrong with it thats easily fixable. I dunno, I havent actually gone out to look at it. I think shipping runs around $600-$1000 for that distance.

J-Rat.

did you ever get the chance to check out the car? Cuz if you did I'm still looking for a TII. And if getting it to run wasn't a big problem i would be happy to drive it back to San Diego. Thanks

Actually, I never went out there.. IT was funny, since I offered 2k for the car, but he wanted to go with ebay. Max was 1575. Like I said, if its a true 10th AE, its worth some money. Getting it running is no problem, but I dont know where the car is going next since the reserve wasn't met. As previously stated, if anyone here on the forum gets it, I will be more then happy to bring it here to my house, help fix it, and let whoever it is stay here at my place if need be. Wish it was mine, but it looks like I am in N/A heaven for a while. Got a possible 2 more coming to add to the two I already own.

Looks like Carfax may have dug up some more dirt on the car...
