Yes it is possible but I am pretty sure you won't be able to drive it every day.

your friend is a moron

Your friend has obviously lived a very closeted parochial life. Why couldn't it be done? For his info it has. several times over. I believe japtrixs' white TII has made several 9 sec passes. You guys must still be in high school!

Any car can be a 10sec car, just some cars are better cars to start with. I bet you could do it for around $8000 if you do most of the labor yourself.

Hell if they can make a Civic into a 10sec car, then an FC can definately do it.

As someone has quoted in their signature: Speed cost money, how fast can you afford to go?

Basically, it just comes down to money. You could do a 3 rotor swap with twin 60-1 turbos, or just a mammoth T-88, or something of the like. Plus, a standalone (Haltech E6K), injectors (4X 1600cc/min), dual fuel pumps, massive fuel lines. Basically, you are building this car for one thing - to go fast in a straight line. Nothing else would matter.

Sure you could, maybe not as comfortable as you would like.

no im 19 but yes my friend IS still in high school, hahaha, he is 16, he gets his license in a week...but how much hp would be needed to accomplish that...a machlaren F1 with around 600 hp does a 1/4 mile in 11.1 seconds...so i would prob need a 20b or a v8 and every mod possible right?

Peripheral port 26b should get you there.

try slicks, a good rear end and a suspension that works. Look at all those 800+hp supras that can't run **** because they can't put the power to the ground. Pick the right turbo and perhaps NOS and you be set. Make sure your car works though.

No need for a 20b or V8, the a street or bridge ported 13BT should suffice.

Tony Farkas (87GTR) recently ran 11 sec passes at NOPI
and was only dyno'n in the high 300's because of a small turbo(TO4E),we found that the turbo became too small once we bridgeported it.

The maclaren wasn't built as a drag car though. If you build any car simply for drag racing it can be fast for a lot less money.
I just can't see spending 1 million+ on a car though, no matter how awesome.

I ran a 11.6 @ 115 a nopi. withthe boost droping off to about 8psi after 6500rpm with a T04e with around 360rwhp if I had a larger turbo Im sure I could drop it into the 10's

Right now Im going to get a GT4088 going to push the boost up to 30psi ...

they have NA 13bs inside of first gen's running 10 sec in the NHRA Sport Compact Seires. Ask Jesus Padilla.....he was doing it wit a 20b and weight penalty. Of course they run a peripheral port and have extra motors lying around. But if an NA can do it, i dont see why a TII with some nice mods and a T66 couldnt do it.

A 3 rotor would require 6 injectors

and that setup would be faster than 10s if you could ever get traction.
