1/4 mile times and hp

i was wondering what you 2ng geners are running in the 1/4 and hp numbers? I sold my firstgen, bought a pos camaro, that has taken a crap, so i am looking into a 2nd gen, thanks

If your going to get a FC , get a turbo. While I love mine, its just not all that fast. With my mods planned I will be high 14's in the 1/4. If a turbo had as much money in mods as I will, that car would be running consistant mid 13's. Turbos may be a bit more of a headache, but are well worth it for the preformance they give. With a full exhaust and intake on a T2, with some sort of fuel controller, you can break 13's easily. Your probably not going to break into the 13's on a N/A without nitrous, or major weight reduction. All rx-7's are fun, but turbos are much easier to make fast.

Ok, Im on the other side , near Pittsburgh. The turbo model is called a Turbo Two. Most people abbreviate and say T2 when they are typing.

The T2's run high 14's stock and can be made faster with light mods, The N/A run high 15's stock but weigh less and are better to toss around in corners, basically a whole hell of lot of fun. If you need striaght line ability/speed go turbo, if your interested in drifting maybe consider an N/A. But both are great handling cars in general

oh yeah and for hp numbers i might be off by a little maybe, Are; 86-88 N/A have 146 hp 86-88 T2's have 186? (i know its very close to this number)
89-92 N/A have 160 hp, 89-92 T2's have 200hp

86-88 N/A have 148HP T2 had 182, 89-91 N/A have 160 HP, T2 had 200. And how would an N/A and its lack of torque be better for drifting?? You can break the back end of a T2 loose much easier. Both cars can handle incredibly well, actually the Turbo is probably better in stock form because of the wider tires and stiffer suspension.

ok,is it possible to buy a n/a and put the turbo stuff from the turbo model on it? is there alot difference wise? i can always get an engine from japan if they have any used ones. thanks for your help

Rxmfn7, N/A are better to drift do to there advantage in weight and you can kick out an N/A rear end also just as easily with less torque and at the same time have more control do to there less torque disadvantage.
The point im trying to make is it seemed to me that you pointed out the T2's would drift better due to there adavatage in torque? But if you think about this for a sec what makes a good drifter is a lighter less torquey car, like for example the 180,200,240 sx's , rx7's, older series corollas (Trenos). You dont see too many cars that are known for having a lot of torque, ie mustangs, comaros and such drifting do you?
I know that it is possible to drift any car but the whole point here is that our cars are best for drifting but not cuz of any extra torque but more because of there light wieght advantage

If you want a 2ng gen well on its way I'm thinking of selling mine. Its a 90 N/A with 5-Zigens 17" full exhaust with ractive stainless mufflers. car has 158,000 km Motor has 70,000 km..... Not sure what that is in miles. Car just had a 3000$ paint job and runs awsome. Pioneer flip down CD deck Wings West 2 pedistal spoiler and a NOS Nitrous oxide kit. Custom mounted on Diamond plate. All mods and car sponsor ship done by Line-X Ottawa and have all reciepts since new.. Oh yeah a DF centerforce clutch also.. I would want around 8900 Canadian... That's about 6.5k US I think and would bring the car To PA if I had to. I'm going to school for January and don't think I'll be able to afford it. I can e-mail pics if interested. Its not a turbo but hit the N2O and you'll kill one.

One up man-ship is stupid, but fun nonetheless...

'88 TII 91000 miles with a mazda remanufactured engine replacement at 75000 miles. $4000.

There was a post about what deal people got on there cars in general. These cars all seem to be such a great deal for what you get.

How well do the s4 turbos respond to modding? Once i get one i plan to get a exuast and intake. Possibly a new main pully drive. What HP do you think i'll get. At least i'll be able to beat my friends cavilier. . oh yeah, does anyone have any quarter mile times with those mods?

one more thing. Exhuast = apexi dual n1, intake is a apexi power intake and main pully drive will be an unorthodox main pully drive.

Time/MPH: 14.627 @ 91.520
I'm going to the track Tomorow to try for a 14.0 and possibly hit some 13's I've added a good deal of goodies since this time. Time put the 15's on.
