Question 02 Sensor, SAFC, ECU Questions

I am running my current AF Meter of the stock sensor, but I am looking to replace with a wideband. I have heard that if the stock 02 sensor is removed the Ecu runs off maps, not O2 results.... So, I am wondering if my tuning would be better off of Wideband and SAFC with or without Ecu sensor?

The ECU doesn't run the O2 sensor for anything other than fuel mileage during cruise/light throttle.

You cannot just replace your narrow-band O2 sensor which spits out a 0 - 1V signal with a wide-band sensor which spits out a 0 - 5V sensor.
You could seriously hurt your stock ECU!
