02 conector location

Where is it located on a s4 tii? My friend bought the bosch universal o2 sensor to plug in but when we went to install it the old 1 wasn't connected and he can't see the conector. Any ideas? Thanx

It comes from under the upper intake manifold. The stock connector is either a green or clear plastic connector with two plastic latches, one on each side. The wire it connects to is a grey cable. It's a shielded wire so your connection has to be made to the inner wire and not the braided shield. Looks exactly the same as the knock sensor.

Awesome, thanks!

To the thread starter, you should not have to take off the UIM to get to the o2 sensor. You should be able to see it of you look down between the firewall and the UIM, it is screwed into the exhaust manifold.

Instead of cutting off the stock plugs and resoldering it, you could just make an adapter cable with a spade on one end (or whatever is needed) and the correct plug for the new sensor on the other end.

I can see the o2 but not the conector. The o2 had 1 wire coming off with a green connector around it (like aaron cake said) but it had a spade connector inside. So I think the last owner might have tried to rig something up? Ill try to take a pic of wat I mean later.

this ain't going to help you, but I just put a new harness in. I kinda had an accident with leaking fuel lines and some sparks I kinda cooked it.
