*sigh* Completely odd oil pressure problem.

Okay. This oil pressure problem has just seemed to develop recently and for no reason. Whenever I am accelerating, my oil pressure starts to drop, once I cruise, any rpm, just as long as I am not accelerating, my oil pressure remains normal. Prolonged periods of acceleration will net me a 30 PSI pressure reading. As soon as acceleration is over, gauge returns to the normal reading.

This has not been verified by a mechanical gauge, and I will be changing the sender, however I wanted to see if anyone else has seen anything similar.

Thanks in advance!

That sounds like the same symptoms I had recently. Turns out the plug on the sender was loose and very dirty. A quick squirt with spray lube and a little squeeze to make the terminal fit tighter and the readings were back to normal.

It was a nervous drive to get home though...
