Exclamation *NEED HELP* Offset and spacer question

I have a set of Rota GT3's on the way (I've already received them once, and had to send them back... long story). If you don't know what Rota GT3's are, they are GAB knock-offs made with the same mold as the original GAB's. Here's a picture:

I ordered them 5x114.3 and white with the polished lip.

So here's my question:
They are +40mm offset, and I know that FC's are +89, so what do I need to do so I won't have any problems putting on these wheels? If I need spacers, can someone point me in the right direction to where I can find some to use, because I wouldn't have the first idea where to look.

Thanks, alot, in advance.

I think you are a little confused. The stock offset of an FC is +40 mm.

Dammit... ok. I'm sure I am a little confused. It wouldn't be the first time. So if the stock offset is +40mm and I get these wheels, which are 16x7 with a +40mm offset, they will fit fine?

Awesome! That's a big relief to my ears, especially with all the issues that I've had lately with things that I've ordered for my FC. Thanks to everybody for all there help.

And Travelintrevor... I'm just wondering if a 225 tire will bother anything. I plan on running 225/50/16s... that won't cause any problems will it?

..spacers will need to be smaller...but only maybe....best thing is have them on the car and then take a look.....maybe 15mm spacers..but like I said, look at it when you get the car and then order the spacers if you need them...the only problem might be that the rim is too small for 225's...I would go no larger than a 215 on a 7J rim

Well that's always something that I was wondering too. I have a friend that was suggesting 225s for me, but wasn't sure, so I've just been going off of his assumption for 225s.

225/50/16 should fit.
If anything, they might require a small spacer up front.
In the back, it's not a problem.

they run 225/50/15s in SCCA IT racing, on a 15x7, so you'll be fine. You may want a slightly lower offset though, because the fronts may rub on the spring at extreme steering angles.

So you're saying that with a 225 tire in the front, I might run into problems rubbing on my springs... so what would I have to do then...? Get something like a 5.5mm spacer for the fronts so that it won't rub? What would that make my offset then...?

That is correct.
With the spacer, your offset becomes effectively around +35.

Wheelchoice sells their 5mm spacer...

But, I don't think you can touch the price of the Summit Racing ones.

Ok, thanks a lot RETed. You've been very helpful. I actually think that I might have found some used tires in the area (they're 205s, so I wouldn't have to worry about rubbing), so I won't have to worry about spacers until I get new tires and get the 225s.
