$860 87 Turbo II....Good Deal???
Hello, Im new to the forum because I just purchased an 87 RX7 turbo II, I paid 860$ for it. It runs pretty well except for the leaky injectors that cause it to flood. I think that the U joints are loose or something b/c when I give it gas or shift gears the rear end seams to jerk or jump a bit. The only thing wrong with the body really other than a few dings is the front left quarter panel b/c it has a dent. I It has just at 120 thousand miles on it so this late spring will be time for an engine swap or rebuild. It has some no name 17" rims but with BridgeStone potenza rubbers. It sounds great and the exaust system is in good condition also. I will post pics soon so please tell what you think. PS: I took out all of the carpet b/c it had the "car sitting" smell.

T2R7 I will definately check out the injector page. Banzitoyota, I got this car from North Augusta. It want even really for sell but some friends of mine just happened to see it and asked about it. The old man who owned it didnt even know what kind of motor it had hehheheh. He just wanted to get rid of the car b/c it was just sitting in his yard.

I would recommend sending the injectors off to RC Engineering. They do an excellent job and for approximatly $25 per injector plus shipping they come back good as new. I did this to all 4 of mine and it solved all of my flooding problems.

Just FYI, RC Enginnering does not do a leak down test when they clean and balance your injectors. if you have a leaky injector(s) you have to replace it. there is not fix at least not that I'm aware of. I sent all 4 of my injectors off to RC. they did a great job!!! but they still leaked. it says on the invoice no leak down test.
