$40 front strut bar

I'm getting a Ractive Brushed Aircraft Aluminum front strut bar brand new for $40 on Wednsday. I'll post how it turns out, and it is brand new from a store not online.

A car audio place called Mr. Tunes, he gets it from a dealer catalog, there are probably other places that could get close to that price but I don't think he marks up on stuff like that. Maybe I could set up a group buy and ship them out myself, because the cheapest I've seen before that was $70 through jc whitney. I'll take pic of it also.

I'll ask tomorrow when I pick it up. Hopefully the place they order from has a lot in stock or its an extra $10 I think They had one for me but I'll ask how many they have and if they got them all at once if it would still be $10.

I have one on my car. Powdercoated (black) steel ends, pretty beefy, decent hardware, easy to install, good fit. I like it, and the price was decent (I paid about $65 last year)

i have this bar on my vert. just make sure that it does not vibrate against the alternator or hit the hood. u kinda gotta angle the bar foreward and down... takes a few tries to make it all fit right!

Exactly what he said. And (in response to the previous post) the rubber caps WILL go back on... but they don't stay on as well.

You mean it isn't a perfect fit?
Update: The part is backordered (from the factory) so it will be another week (he ordered straight from them). Also, talked to him today and if you can send them a money order for $50 he'll ship it out as soon as they make more and send them to him (they don't stock them). Oh and they are brushed aluminum.

There is a guy in town that can make them. He was going to make an upper and a lower front and a rear for me for about $225
The upper front is going to have a motor strap built into it. similar to one that I saw some where on the net. This guy can make roll cages too. he does this for a living. His shop custom makes dune buggy frames for racing. He makes tubular drag frames all the time. Very quality work. I hope his strut bars turn out the same way. He is kind of old and doesn't car about import cars

What do you look under to find strut bars on Ebay?? I look at all the RX7 newly listed posts everday, have been doing that for over a month, and I've only seen one gen 2 strut bar. Am I just looking for the wrong thing??

If you can send a money order for $50 he will ship to you in the continental US. I'll wait and post pics and thoughts of mine after I get it so I don't lead anyone to a bad part, unless your sure you want it.
