$3000 for 91 na rx7 w/83k m
In a couple days I am moving to santa barbara for college, and I wanted to buy a fun car to drive around in. I really like the fc, and I'm pretty much not even looking at any other car. So i was wondering if you guys could help by telling me how to get the most bang for my buck. I wouldnt mind buying a really cheap one with a blown engine or something and trying to fix it myself with a dvd or something, but I dont want to end up spending more on fixing it then just buying a running one.
I saw a 91 na fc with 83000 miles for $3000. Compared to everything else I saw it seemed like a decent deal. Or do u guys think i could do better?
Thanks

I got my 86' NA rex for $900
All it need is new brakes and maybe some air freshner...but other than that it's damn near perfect.
it's got a whole 105,000 on it.
I think I made out ok...what does everyone else think?

...$600?
Yeah, but it is an auto. That makes me sad for you.
But other than that....I mean, does know one know what kind of a power house they're selling for so little? I mean, I bent this guy over on the price....

I am...I love my car. I love the fact that I finally own a rotory. The car is in great shape and I'm just happy. And for $900 I can say that proudly. And now that I'm attending Wyotech..(trade school)...I'll know more and more about not just pistons. I just signed up for their alternative engine types class. So I wont sound like such a jack *** to you guy's.
But thank you for helping my noob *** anyways....

$3000 is about the highest you should go for an NA, and it should be mint. I got my 90 GXL with 55k+rebuild for $3000, just test drive it real good. The guy I bought it from thought the "wirrr" noise at idle was the tranny so he bought a new one, hahaha. Its the damn TOB, which kinda sucks for me It is getting hard to find these cars in good condition so you might feel like you're overpaying if you're looking for something in mint condition.

you should of bought a good rolling chassis for $1000 or less. get a rebuilt NA motor for $1500 or less and it would of been sweet. But $3000 I would of added $500 and got a good running TII.

Figured I would chime in on this one seeing as how I rarely post anything. I'm actually about to buy an 88 n/a 148k miles for $2300. Amazing thing is the guy at the lot said they traded it in for a 4 door.
