Is $1200 too much for this car?

I paid $1200 for this running 90 . It had everything I wanted and appears that I may be able to buff it out.

I was about to have my 90 re-painted and I still have a auto tranny in it so I was going to have to replace it again or swap it and spend a few hundred or thousand on that.

this car runs and all i need to do is put my wheels and exhaust on it.

also this car has black leather...

my current car is a winning silver w. maroon clothe automatic w/99K miles
this car red/ black 5spd w/121K miles

both of them GXL's

was this too much?

also the man is delivering it too me from dallas area which saves me from going and getting it. he was already coming to my town before the auction was listed!

I was just lucky enough to buy .

what you think?

do it....but check compression first.....and check for blown coolant seal........
1. check radiator to see if it's topped off....
2. if radiator is HOT tell him you need the car to be cols and you will return in 4 hours and to please not turn it on
3. if the car is warm after 4 hours walk away. If it is cold then turn it on and check the rear for WHITE smoke.....if the exhasut is clean then buy it

4. type in a more coherent way please....I don't know which 90 ur talking about.

that's not bad. I got my 86 NA for $600 and it runs great, just minor stuff to take care of. So $1200 for a 90 GXL is not bad at all. But like other said, you really need to check the compression.

seems like a fair deal. When I checked the link the pictures won't show. But the seller sounds honest.

humm, I just checked and they dont show. they did before. he must have changed it after.

anyhow I have them saved and I will post a before and after shot when I get the parts swapped and the car off the jacks.

It runs , the paint shined up to brand new looking. you would not believe how good the paint really was after 3hrs of buffing.

I will post update soon. so far it seems OK.
