$1000? For an '87
I can get an '87 FC with alittle over 130k miles, for a grand,
Im told it runs ruff and smokes alittle, and the previous owner tor the dash out and sum stuff is gone. other than that it looks pretty good from the outside
like I said in previous post, I want an SA but need something to drive while I fix it up
Would it be worth it to buy the car, and if I needed to do u guys think I could get that back out of it if it doesnt work out?
Thanks for any feedback

Well, inspect the car well, and if you're willing to work on it, and learn how to do the work yourself, I'd say it's a good deal. It's often amazing how many simple things you can do and get a car working great...
i.e. My $750 FC didn't hold idle well, one headlight was out, dome lights didn't work, clock didn't work, hood didn't pop, idiot lights didn't work... I resoldered the clock/idiot lights (free), the headlight was unplugged.. plugged it back in (free), unstuck the dome light sensor in the door (free), greased the hood pop (free), and tweaked the TPS and fixed the idle (free)...
So for a total of (free) I was able to fix pretty much all the problems with my car... all it required was some tools, a Haynes manual and THIS FORUM. Oh and free time...
My point? Get it, fix it, and show us pictures!
