new to rotorz

hey guys

iam quite new to rotorz and iam thinking about buying one but a few of my friends say that they are unreliable and take alot of money and time to keep they running well. i love tha shape or tha series 4 and 5 7's but i just thought i would ask ppl that actually know what they are talkin about. any help would e greatly appreciated.

I would rather have a rotary more than any other engine. they must not know what they are talking about by calling them unreliable, havent had a problem since ive had mine. What do you mean series 4 and 5, there are only 3? if you find one for sale, i highly recomend you buy!

Series 4 = 1986-1988
Series 5 = 1989-1991 (1992 in Japan... sorta)

Rotaries are very reliable (well, N/As especially) if they're PROPERLY MAINTAINED. Keep the oil/plugs/filters/coolant clean and happy, and they'll run till you're sick of them...

Any car will break down if not taken care of. Change oil, coolant, fluch system every couple years and it will give you trouble free driving granted you don't go boosting past the safe zone like most boneheads here.
Remember, the cars are at least 17 yrs old (S4) so you will have things break, not work etc. so you should consider that as well. Change all fluids when you get the car and this site has pretty much all the bases covered as far as problems you might encounter.
You won't regret it . Do some searches on this site for pictures and models. If I had to buy another car, there still isn't one (except a 1988 Carerra).
