Angry $#!t ...GRINDED GEARS!!!

today when driving to a freinds house, i saw this "freind" of mine called Winston that i met a few days ago...he said he wanted to test drive my car...so i asked him if he knew how to drive manual...he said of course.

First: before the care even moved he died out on first gear...then said " whoa, your catching point is weird...then started the car agian ( at this point i started doubting myself for leeting him in the driver seat)

Second: He reved my car to 6,000 RPM and the car wasnt even moving, and then when he finally let go of clutch the caar was stalling like crazy...

Third: He redlined my car even after i shouted "WTF r u doing!?!?!" and as he attempted to shift to 2nd, i assume he shifted to nuetral then let go of clutch or sumthin then forced it into 2nd gear w/o stepping on clutch!!!!! ( tahts what i think and kinda felt nd heard ...there was this realli loud/bad "gGGGgggGRRRrRRkkKK" sound!!!

At this point, i was bout to cry ....and i also wanted to kill him !!!!!

I am never going to let anyone drive my car again!!!

Do u guys think he really messed up my car???
Feels not as smooth when shifting to 2nd anymore .... my brother said its just me cuz he think its tha same, but i juss feel like its different ( maybe im just too sad)

sigh.....

its fine! do you think mazda would make a trans that couldnt take the abuse of a shitty driver? many ppl on this forum are pushing gobs of power on their stock trannys with no signs of failing. i wouldnt worry too much about it

That's why I don't let anyone drive mine, unless I've been a passenger in their manual car...later

Missing a shift isn't going to kill the tranny just once, you have to do it quite a few times to really screw it up.

If what he did screwed it up, your tranny was about to die anyways.

Oh geez. That's why I haven't let ANYONE drive my car besides me and my boyfriend who has been driving stick for over 5 years straight. Hope nothing extremely horrible happened to your tranny...

If you're really scared, why don't you change out the tranny oil just for that added peace of mind?

While you're at it, change it to synthetic, I highly recommend Royal Purple Max Gear, yeah, even over Redline MT90. Royal Purple kicks ***!

Gimme a break...ruin the tranny from grinding the gears? Quit being a girl about your car.

It sounds like Winston learned to drive at a video game.

Even the most experienced drivers take it easy & get the feel of an unfamiliar car before leaning on it.
