Well, considering you're going snowboarding, overheating shouldn't be as big of an issue. But in CO the roads near the slopes are just as covered as the mountains themselves, so tires definitely makes a difference.
What kind are you using for this trip? I have 4 studded tires just for ventures like this. I wouldn't be confident at all if I didn't. Otherwise coming home I'd just slide right off the road into a ditch. Thats the last place I wanna be after riding all day!

Tires and weight ratio on the car is important when driving especially on bad weather terrain.
i think the fc has a good weight ratio balance does anyone know any information about that?

50/50 weight ratio.
I'm not saying the car is that bad (but its light, so yeah, it kinda is)
I'm sayin with shitty tires (as in summer high performance) in a light car, going around downhill hairpins, even at 5 mph can cause an accident. It happens daily on the passes...

i got some new falken ziex 502s in the front and semi used (75% tread still) cooper all season tires in the rear... i shouldne run into any snowy slippery problems yet.. the snow on the mt there is man made for now, el nino should be hitting pretty soon =], and i shuld only be worried about icey spots in the road..... i drive with extra caution up there anyways =]

of course its good to have either fresh tires when handing all-terrain conditions or winter tires.

It doesn't matter the brand, its the type of board for the type of rider you are. Although, since Ride is the only company with "pop rods" (hollowed out carbon fiber tubes, 2 on each tail.) I think my choice is quite obvious. Effin A they're expensive tho!
Plus it'd be nice to have an all mtn board. It sucks hittin up the bowls with my Ride Kink (All Park Board) Not that its that bad, but there is literally NO tail or nose! It only lifts up like 1 inch, not exagerating. Although I do love its buttery like tendencies But lets just say, I don't nollie over rollers anymore. I remember the last time I made that mistake!

although the RX-7 is a sports car, i still use it for everyday things.
shoot, i stuff my whole 4 piece drum set in there too! with cymbals and hardware.
but of course, everybody has their own preference.
whatever we do, there's gonna be people who like it or not. just gotta live it with it.

Like you said its the board that matters that really the brand.
I got my Liq Board used so didnt know to much about it and with Drake Bindings.
My pref is going to mountain slopes do some jumps hear and there ;
not looking for those heavy boards that weight a bunch u can only do a hop jump.
Something light weight and guess multi-purpose type do you which it kind it might be ?
thanks
DC 91 fcs : nice how was the mountain and the fc when you took it there?
