I live my car but the interior is too fregging delicate and the electrical system in mine is a NIGHTMARE!

 

 

worst part about my car.. is i bought this motor that appeared great, exelent compression... but no it has a blown coolent seal .... still runs allright but ehxuast overpr4essurizing the coolent, cant drive more than an hr and a half before i must add alot of coolent.... been driving it like that since may last yr... but its gotten worse now... when i let it sit for a day or two it leaks into the rotor housings and floods the car out everytime now.... bout to pull that pos out and do a rebuild!

 

The fact that the previous owner did all this stuff to it that seems kinda shabby or poorly done. Also that it's "chipped" by some company I've never heard of, nor do I know what the chip does (eliminate fuel cut, change the A/F ratio, ????)

 

The worst part about my car is that I have a standalone and blowoff valve on a shelf in my garage and have no time to install them- and I still have stock cat back exhaust

 

It doesn't run.

 

Dude, tell me about it. I drive a benz right now, but the damn pop out cupholder broke, and I threw it out... Now it's exactly the same damn thing... in a luxury car!

 

if you have the back seats, its more like a shelf. seats > bins

 

/\ Yeah, to the people complaining about leg room: sit sideways! That way there is a LOT more room than you think!

My friend drives a 180sx 2+2, and that's the way I sat in it, worked just fine considering that I'm 5'11' and the other guy was 6'10"!

 

What do I hate about my RX-7.... hmmmmm.... Maybe the fact that I don't know weather to fix it or drive it 'till it drops after some bitch rear ended me. What do you guys think?

Worst part is having to go to the passenger door to unlock the drivers door. Another worst part is having so many electrical issues. For some reason my cars starts to shake when driving around 70+ mph but sometimes it doesnt start until i turn. Some people says its my alignment or my balance. It sucks cause I can never go 70+ mph without having my steering wheel shake like crazy >.<.

 

Somethings probably loose. Make sure all the bolts on your steering rack, tie rod ends all that **** is tight.

 

The fact that It doesnt run right now, and the brittle interior.

 

FIX YOUR CAR BEFORE YOU DIE. What have you done towards fixing this driving hazard that can send you in any direction at any time?

rode motorcycles for a few years....my buddy had similar problems w/his R1 blowing engines.....he kept complaining to Yamaha saying the bike was flawed.... He finally sold his bike, and got a Kaw 10R....whadya know...he blew the engine in that bike.

Dude loved to ride wheelies knowing that the engines were not designed for stunting (oil sits in the back of the block when doing wheelies, therefore failing to lubricate/cool the engine) and he just couldn't connect that it wasn't some flaw in the bikes it was his riding habits....

not saying this logic applies here but....I just bought my first RX-7 and I hope I'm not going to have to deal w/going through numerous engines.

Is this something rotary engines are known for?

 

Rotaries are incredibly reliable if taken care of properly. My original engine lasted 215k miles, and that was with a lot of track time from the previous owner. In fact, he probably overheated it on the track, which led to the coolant seal going out.

As for me, the thing I hate most is that it doesn't run. I just dropped in an engine I rebuilt, and it runs, but it won't rev up.... I probably just screwed up something on the install, but it pisses me off.

damn my thread is still alive... haha well I now hate that my passenger side window works whenever it wants to.

 

I have only gotten an alignment because I'm too broke but right now it drives good when im at 60. I just smash once in a while but its still runs good, I have no idea whats wrong. I think I need new tires or something because one of the tires is bald on the outside and its the one on the front right. Any suggestions that can help? I'm only 16 so i dont got the a lot of cash right now.

 

It was a Techtom Rom Tune.

So it seems as if it's not exactly a custom tune... rather similar to Rtek in that they have a designed fuel map.

I'm still wondering if this will allow me to run more than 8.6~psi without hitting fuel cut? (In other words... do you think this takes the place of an FCD?)
