i havent decided how and who i can turn too on rebuilding my engine. i spoke to kevin thru email. and maybe ill go with him. since i live in alaska. shipping is gonna be expensive. im just a lil stressed out on who to have it built with....
im looking to spend in $2500 range just for the stock rebuild. no larger ports or anything. just wanna be able to have a engine that would last at least 45k or more.

PS what did you use for a lip on your s4?

 

nice find! looks clean, but it looks like the lip is missing.. and didnt S5 TII come with sideskirts and rear wing?

 

that car has t2 side skirts. nice find, you got a great deal. whats with the s4 rear bumper?

 

yeah something looks funny with that car. s4 bumper and no wing? If you need a lip let me know, and why not rebuild the engine yourself?

 

maybe it got hit in the rear and they took it to a ghetto body shop? its cheaper to weld and patch the spoiler holes up than it is to replace the spoiler if it was damaged. the MAZDA badge is missing too.

 

Clean! Although I do agree it's fishy that the rear bumper is s4. Hopefully it wasnt a s4 conversion, doesnt really matter but id say its way better if its original s5. Also he could of been in a car crash in the rear and replaced it? That would be the worse though.

Everything in the engine bay, including the paint color, screams S5. I'd put my money on a rear end collision. The lack of the Turbo II decals on the fenders and the seal around the door handle (should be black) says the whole car was painted (not to mention the quality of the paint...definitely not original).

 

Definitely a ghetto body shop job.... Looks like they painted the hood while it was on the car.... theres overspray on the intercooler fins! As for the rear, yeah looks like there was probably an accident that damaged the bumper and spoiler and they just put an S4 bumper on and went spoilerless.

Did you carfax the car?

 

No rear windsheild wipers??? Thought S5 TII had these stock.

 

yeah. i have to remove the taillights and the stuff on the rears so i can inspec it. but your right no wipers /w s4 rears. i knocked around the body and didnt hear any bondo or putty. .

and yes its a real turbo2. 70k original miles ;p
