Hypertek: What i am gonna do is temporarily bolt them on by "boat resoning in" bolts on the back of the kit. I will use my existing mounting holes from the hemorrhoids to attatch them. They are going to require a lot of work (monday all day off and on) to get them to bolt and unbolt on. The reason for this is so i can paint them off the car and pop em back on. This is all temporary because i plan on repainting the car 2 tone, black above the door top/ a pillar line continuing around the car, and another color below that, covering the bulk of the car. Similar to yours, just none of the fender in the same color as the top.

Another reason i want them to bolt on and off is due to suspension. I have no idea what set up i will be running, and will need to cut the hell out of the rear quarters for top tire clearence. It will not be an issue with my stock setup. After inside is cut out (before new paint) i will then mold them to the car. Also cant mold them yet because i have the old erebuni wing on its way and i want everything to bolt on and off with ease and perfect fitment prior to moulding.

Thanks man, always helpful with the links.

**** now i forget the other question...

Kit fits now. It is able to bolt on and off with no effort. Ended up staying in maryland an extra day so didnt get to work on it yesterday. Bolts resined in the back of kit using old doodoo kits mounting holes. I wish it was 20 degrees warmer so i could friggin paint.

here are some horrible night shots....

Yup it will be. I will post paint pictures if i can come up with some kind of bootleg paint booth situation. Put act clutch in this past weekend, its good to have the car going again. I might just drive it like it is with these two black growths for a while.

when i said they were 9 inch wide wheels out back, it was just to clearly state they were not "narrow *** wheels". In the context of "narrow assdum " they are wide, but not in the world of 2nd gen rx7s.

Do you get a prize for fitting 9.5 inch wheels out back? Nope.

Should you get a prize for putting your car together with all of that 1 off customness? Yes sir. **** is dope.

Its been over a month.......Here are some updated pictures of the **** demon.

cut the hell out of rear quarters. This is an early picture right after rewelding seam and por 15. It is before final roll, picture another 3/4 of an inch of clearance. por15 is serious *****.

grandpa's HATE when you convert one of the storage areas in the basement to a paint booth

widebody mount

something is apparently wrong with the motor in my headlights....

trimmed wing to allow for widebody, tossed it up in the air and it landed on the car like this (simple 23 second test fit....too cold)

wing is not for everyone, i think it will look ok when fit and painted though.

I will try to get color and clear (sorry grandpa) on the wing tommorrow after hours of fitting.

Thread should be retitled "how to make rice" because at the end of the day you still have a 9" wheel in the rear.

^^^^9 inch wheels for now.......... Keep in mind shitty ****, that the car is a work in progress. Found a good deal on these rims 16x8 and 9, ultimately going to sell them for some 18x9 front and 18x11 or 12s in the rear. That is the plan after i two tone the car next year. These rims were great for the budget build (4200.00 total or so in car), but not where i am going to finish.

^^^^^^And shaving 3rd brake light....... I may have to upgrade to 5 lug at some point then. There are available 4 lug wheels though, like: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-1...Q5fAccessories

you could have fit that rim under the stock fender. I have a 10J +4 on the back and its tucked. Alot depends on your tire sizing as well. I think what you have on there is way too big. And I realize this is a work in progress but i personally believe you should buy your wheels first, then buy the reaer over fenders that create the best look, wether its 20/30/50 mm. Then all you need to do is MAYBE use one 5mm slip on spacer slip on spacer to fill any gaps left

I agree with what you said. It makes a lot of sense. But on the car, rear kit-less just didnt look right. Front was all wide and agressive looking, with a crack headed rear end. Plans down the road will include fitting rims to the bodies specs and prob a 5 lug conversion. Did this to add symetry to the overall look of the car and stand behind it. For now that is its function.

n20zuki: Me too........looked even worse in person.

francogt1: Definately, man.
