There seems to be two different trains of thought for these kinds of things...

1) Do the widebody cause you want to and be as cheap as possible to get the wheels "flush".
2) Build the widebody because you need wider tires to be fitted under the car due to significant increases in power.

We subscribe to the later.

I give you props for trying this, but I question your intentions.
I realize you want something different, but the aesthetics looks pretty bad, IMO.
As long as you're happy...

IMO, 16" wheels are a waste on a "widebody".
17's have limited sizes.
You need to move up to 18's to really get WIDE.

We are going custom widebody on our 20B FC project cause the engine just makes too much damn power.
We were shooting for 10.5" front and 12.0" rears in 18" diameters.
Minimum tire widths were 295 front and 315 rear.
The wheels that came in where 11.0" front and 12.0" rears.
With these widths, we might step up to all 315's.
Initial fitting would require us to go around 4" wider up front and rear.
We're going custom widebody cause we don't like anything prefabbed out there.
Basically, go big or go home.
This is not a cheap-*** project, not by a longshot...

Widebody projects are not something you wanna brag about getting away cheap, IMNSHO.

Wheel fitment is not hard, it's a couple simple measurements and some math. You really only need a straight edge and a tape measure to get close.

The difference between you and I is that I do stuff because of the performance and function aspect of it. You do stuff because you think it looks cool.

i agree with most of the above. also, the front end makes the car look like it has down syndrome or something. the headlights and front bumper don't look good at all IMO.

reted: i agree fully. This is something i tried over the course of 11 hours and burned 60 bucks. Ive spent a lot worse in an 11 hour span before.... Got my fiberglass skills up and realized that this idea is ***. Im doing widebody things to ballance out the car. Front beefy.....rear crackheaded... Kit is comming off getting broken over my head, and going into the hudson river. I am gonna purchase raceonusa 30mm (nonbmagic *****, the other ones) and bolt them on. Already have the mounting points. Sleepy eyes are personal taste everyone knows that. I guess its cool to get your post count up though offering your opinion. Personally i think the fly swatting popups take away from the body lines of the car. I have low profiles on the miata and now have that same look for a lot cheaper on the fc.

argue it up,

Spacers don't bother me as long as they're hubcentric. However widebody cars with narrow *** wheels are a no no.

If you are refering to my car i clearly stated they were 9 inch wheels out back that werent made by advan in any other offset. The spacers will add symetry to the cars overall look. If you were just simply stating that front wheel drive offsets (+45 and ****) with 50mm spacers are rediculous and weird looking, then i agree (in most cases) Like that mustang guy with honda civic rims that unfortunatly exists in most areas.

Hemorrhoids surgerically removed. Raceonusa 30mm widebody rear quarters came. Here are some pictures of my 32.4 second test fit. Driving down to maryland to use my dads lift to put 6 puck act na clutch in the car this weekend. Unfortunately wont get to this until next week. Not sure what i am gonna do about paint yet, too cold to shoot outside (like i usually roll).
