This thread was supposed to be a surprise goodies thread......
Well, I was going to tell you guys tonight that all of the following happened:
-Debadged the car
-Tinted markers and turn signals
-modified the front bumper
-repainted car stock color (was very faded)
-intalled new shifter bushings
All of the following DID happen, but unfortunately, an hour later, so did an accident. I was driving a little spirited around a turn and a car coming the opposite way was on the center line, I tried to go farther outside but I lost the rear end and damn near cut my car in half on a boulder. Pics of the totaled car tomorrow....... Here are pics just after all the mods........
Before:
When prepping for paint:
Before clearcoat:
The best this car has ever looked (this morning after picking the car up from paint and putting in all the lights, lenses, windshield wipers, trim etc.):
Tomorrow, prepare for horrifying pics of the unibody absolutely F*CKED
I'm so sad right now, I juuuuuuuuuust made my car perfect to where I wouldn't need mods for a year or so then lost it all, this thing was like my life. Luckily, I wasn't hurt.

I hate to be that guy, but I am going to be 'that' guy:
Dude. Spirited driving ends at the point where you cant adjust without losing traction. You know this, I know this, everyone else knows this, but you were going too fast on public roads, and unfortunately this **** is what happens when you use the street as a track. An accident is something that is unavoidable. This wasnt unavoidable. This was a mistake. Sucks you just got done cleaning up the car.
I know you probabl dont need to hear this, but someone else might. Save it for the track.

Yeah, I know, I feel horrible, it could've been avoided with a level head and controlled driving. I didn't get the guy's number, he just stopped, saw me get out of the car, must've though "Oh, he's alive" then drove off. I didn't even get insurance involved because I only have liability and wouldn't get a penny but my rates would still go up. I'm either going to part it out or just sell it as a parts car.
Has all this if there is any interest for the car....

Instead of a 90 degree bend to the wheel, it's more like 45 (halway between correct, and that) also, take the frame rail under your passenger door halfway between the tires, and push it a foot into the car, imagine it blue, and it looks like that. I actually saw your car flash in my head when I walked aruond and saw my wheel did the same thing ( I have seen those pics before).

I'm sorry Chris. But, as I said on the phone when we were talking, it's not the end of the line. Think of it as the beginning.
Feel better bud, really. I know it sucks because I've been there too and I've wasted my sweet time sobbing and bitching about it...you know that first hand. And I can tell you that it isn't worth it. There will be more. There are shells for sale right now that I've been looking at, and one of them is only $400!
I'll talk to my parents about putting the car up at my place. I don't think it'd be that much of an issue since that car port in the back yard is wasted space at the mo'. Whatever you decide..
Try and get some rest. Glad you're alright.

Well, you're the one that brought up parting it out, so I assumed that the whole deal would be for sale since it would save you much hassle dealing with multiple buyers, shipping, and dismantling.
