I'll take a picture of the floor bar in the passenger footwell. Like I said, I doubted it too but there's just too much evidence for, than against

i guess im not doubting that its an infini but if it doesn't have the special features from that model its just another t2. whoever took that stuff off should be slapped. good luck on your project though

^^^not to mention the infini floor mats.

but on a side note, they left the emergency flare on the passenger side kick panel.

i think it is an infini cause there were alot of things on the car that we're really hard/impossible to find.even the struts had the symbol.if some ricer fanboy just converted a regular j-spec T2 into what it is now, then props to him for attention to detail.

about the bumpers, the weird thing is,the S5 models came out during 88 not 89 like north america.the tails and bumper might have also been swaped for S5 ones.who knows.

this thread isn't about how good we could prove that it's a real infini or not,but about how much work and how much fun we would get out of this project.

That's what I was thinking. This thread went from "This is a blog of me working on my car" to "That's not an Infini, look!"

Just th eInfini IV and maybe the Infini IIIs had some of those. I know the IV was famous for being the ubur FC and had ALL that stuff as well as a different exhaust, different carpeting (thinner padding for light weight), special color code, bronzed windows, a fire extinguisher, and a few performance upgrades.

Spent an hour at the shop today, didn't have much time to stay but was glad to have at least accomplished something. Took off the taillights, driver door, seats, and just about ready to remove carpet (in about 30 minutes actually).

The sideskirts (you might have to turn your head for this picture... it's upside down, haha)

Taillights are off! I really like this picture for some reason.

JDM spare, haha gotta love that color.

Doors and seats are out.

The seats (I know, I know, they're not the pimp Infini IV seats)

Been pretty busy these past couple of days working on some other stuff. However, I did get a chance to get the rest of the dash and interior out yesterday. After a couple of hours and countless broken plastic clips, voila.

100 yen lodged underneath the carpet, I wonder how long it was there for

Stripped

Also found this in the sunvisor slot...

Update after half a year... haha

It hibernated for the winter time and got pretty disgusting as it was stored outside for 3 months. I was able to bring it back inside the shop before the winter freeze and cleaned it up a bit. The interior is in and a slew of new parts have been thrown in. Once again, we were too busy working on another car this weekend so I wasn't able to snap too many pics... here's a few for now:

Gabsport Coilovers, compared to stock Infini suspension

As it sits now... need new tires and spacers!

A new friend arrived...

OEM Visors installed.

Prosport Gauges. Thanks for the excellent service!

Test fitment.

More to come.

PS. How do I edit my old posts? I want to get those pictures back up.
PSS. Hmm... I can edit this post but not my older ones!

Looking great man!

After a certain amount of time, you can't edit your older posts. Maybe you can get a mod to edit it for you, though.

haha, I punched my POS computer like 3 times because no matter what I did I couldn't get those pictures to show up. And now I get to the bottom and the pictures are legitimately gone.

*turns to computer* I'm sorry, please don't crash on me again.
