Well, here's the update: The car is a total loss, and can't be bought back as it is now a dismantle-only vehicle and legally can never see the road again. They're gonna pay me out 4200 for it. Sucks, but such is life.

"dismantle only" does that mean you can dismantle it and keep your parts? If so, that plus 4200 could make an even better fc

 

This is like the car version of final destination. You saved it from death once, but it just couldn't escape this time.

This enrages me, that the insurance company can basically steal your car, the "sell it back to you" or just trash it. **** everything about this.

Do they at least compensate you? There is no way to get the car back and take the parts that weren't damaged (which is a lot of parts from the look of it).

 

Are there really people out there that think this way? I mean yeah it sucks for the guy that got hit, but I would never wish something like that on another human over a car. The car can be replaced, life cannot.

Rare is it that I agree w/the driver if a bastard swap, but my man had a point. It is disturbing to wish a "life changing injury"on someone especially when you sustain no serious injury yourself.

Having been hit by a driver who did sustain a life changing injury as a result I can assure you it is not something you wish to be a part of (if for no other reason than the potential legal ramifications). That being said, on that particular night the 7 drove away and the suv was taken away in pieces....

 

I guess it is a bit extreme, but I have a low tolerance for people who destroy other people's property in ways that could easily be avoided if they weren't stupid as hell. Replace "life changing injury" with "moderate-to-severe ***-whoopin' " .

 

Is there anyway to buy back your car? When I wrecked my FB I fought for 3 then when they settled I told them I also want my car back and I bought it back for 150 swapped all my **** over to a new shell and kept rolling
