Submit your pic, get it cut with laser!

Here's the deal,

I'm taking an industrial lasers class and for the semester project, I want to do something with the RX-7...I'm going to cut one out of plexi and mount it in a frame and backlight it with LED's...it's going to be sweet, I promise.

Here's the problem: My RX-7 is in the garage with a flat tire and no engine. Pretty uninspiring. I did a bit of looking around in the various picture threads and didn't find one I really liked.

Here's what I need:

-High res picture of an FC.
-Stock body, clean design
-Preferred S4, but either will do.
-Single exhaust would be cool.

This is one that was posted in the other thread...car is all wrong, but I think the angle is just about perfect. Front angles will work too.

If I pick your picture, I'll cut it out of laser for you, time depending. How freaking sweet is that?

Also, the higher the contrast between the car and background, the easier it's going to be to do.

I'll play around with some of those when I get home tonight and keep this thread updated.

Here is my album on flickr. They might or might not work, but if you like one I can get you the original (huge) resolution.

Go here:

http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.c...ions/index.php

Then take a few frames from one of the animations, cut them in different sheets of plexi, stack them and run LEDs in a sequence to display the animation.

Definitely some awesome shots there, I'm an amatuer photographer myself and I was wondering how you got some of those to turn out. Nothing I can really use, but props for the pics!

I hate to say it but that was done on a camera, the lights in the parking garage were just making things look shitty. This any better?

It's sexy all over. My pants are really tight. It's a little too dark though.

Here's a concept photo of what I've got so far. Comments?

borring lol
need some photoshop lessons, but i suppose this is a rough template
the crap in teh background thru the windows will show up

Dont use a lasso to trace/copy and paste,
instead work in layers and use soft eraser to fade erase so you dont have jagged lines etc
