How did you blow an engine in a Volvo? Shouldn't there be a prize for that?

The build is looking good, sorry to hear you'll have to rush it. FWIW, the FR500 wheels would look great on there.

Engine is in. took about 1 hour today to install the block itself, went in super easy... Drivers side mount then passengers... bam it slid right in.. I have come a long way since this picture... Eveything else has been installed, from radiator to wiring... All done.

All I need to do is install the slave and the T2 fuel pump... And i'll be driving.

You didn't have any problems getting it to mate with the transmission? I had to massage mine a little bit

I put some grease on the transmission input shaft, and lined it up pretty well before attempting to slide it in.. Helps a lot.

Adgenda for today- paint the T2 hood so that the car doesnt look crazy ghetto, address the fuel tank that has been sitting for 10 years, then install the t2 fuel pump, clutch master, and try to start this thing up.

Take the tank to a radiator shop and they should be able to make it clean as a whistle inside.

Everywhere locally wants $150 to clean and seal the tank... I think I will probably give it another cleaning tomorrow... I have made some healthy progress. The tank looked just like the pump in the pictures when I started.. Now all I need to do is get all the grainy residue out.... So far I have run 7 gallons of e85 through the tank (works awesome) 6 times.. The e85 comes out wiked dirty..

I dont know about that... they are $600....

This is what happens if you let a car sit for 10 years with about 3/4 of a tank of gas.. When I opened it up it looked like tar in about 1/2 of the tank..

Looks like my parts car's tank used to Paint thinner worked great for me. Then dish soap and hose it out. Then spray it with a little WD40 inside.

Basically finished cleaning the tank today.. I am letting the e85 that was left evaporate then i am going to vacuum the rest of the grainy residue out.

I finished painting the exhaust, and hung one of the HKS mufflers.. also put the last coil perch in on the back of the car... I need to drop the front spings a little more to level it out..

Still working slowly.. Waiting on a clutch Master cyl now.. Put the manfolds back on, finished the emmisions block offs, installed the boost guage (where the stupid ash tray was) and installed the throttle cable... Oh yeah the gas tank is clean and the fuel pump is in and plumbed up.. I also installed the T2 hood (not yet painted) and the front clear corners...
