I'm gonna go gunmetal on my vert rims.. I've never seen it done before so i'd kill to see some pics!

 

These arent Vert wheels but you get the idea.

 

sweet. Yeah I am going to paint my fno1rc's gunmetal and do the vert rims at the same time on my brothers car (onionsncream). we are going to run some small spacers on the vert rims and lower the car. Should look good.

 

Went to Re-Speed.com today and bought a Dual Alternator pulley Only $16.95 plus $9.00 shipping! Woo Hoo!

 

^D'oh! A little searching helped me long ago. A forum member sells dual pulleys for $10 IIRC. Not that $26 is going to kill you though.

 

Really $10 pulleys..huh good to know. Respeed just did a bunch of work on my buddies 79 and I was impressed so i thought I would toss some cash thier way..

 

I stumbled on it searching if anyone was selling one cheap right when I was about to spend the extra bux on a brand name. But $26 is nothing in the long run considering everything else we spend on our FC's.

 

Got my pulley today, also found a T2 hood locally! Needs some bodywork, but for $50 I am pleased. I was about to go frontmount, really didnt want to considering my hood is steel, so I was glad to find a T2 hood.

 

I Got the T2 hood last night, even still had the rubber gasket! It has a dent right infront of the scoop, so i am going to have to try to work that out..

Thanks! She's coming along as planned. I hope to get the engine bay painted this weekend. I guess I should remove the engine and get sanding. Thank goodness for 4 day weekends.

 

Well I spent a little time yesterday removing the old cut harness, flywheel and clutch, pretty much ready to drop in. I have decided to run PS/A/C, I am also going Frontmount.....

 

Also getting ready to paint the enginebay... did a test area, loving the cleanliness... now to strip the bay down, clean and paint everything...

Funny you ask, actually I gave my newer camera to my kids (more megapixels) and took my old awesome Olympus 740 out of the closet... Amazing what a decent lense can do.

 

Well made some more progress, engine is pulled.. Time to finish stripping the engine bay, and prep for paint..





Yeah my neighbors probably hate me...lol

 

Few updates- I decided not to go with the Frontmount, it was going to require that i run no A/C, in TN it is needed (so damn hot/humid) so I am back to topmount. I seperated the oil/fuel lines from the vac rack and bought a set of street wheels (18x9)...

 

Got a little bit of work done in the engine bay this weekend. Just a few things left to remove on the drivers side, then finish the base coat, everything removed will be painted black, the engine bay will be white as you can tell..

 

Great, now I have an engine bay inferiority complex to go along with my automatic transmission feelings of inadequacy.
I'm glad you're in Tennessee, 'cause I'd be embarrassed to pop my hood if you were in the neighborhood.
At least I can put my top down if I want. :-p

LOL.. Not a bad way to look at it. When I was early in the 7's all I cared about was getting the car running, and didnt care what the hell it looked like.. Several of mine sported dents, different colored panels ect... Only in the past 5 Years have I really paid attention to detail.. What I am doing in my engine bay an technically be done with the motor in.. Especially if you dont have a/c or PS... Can't wait to put some clear in the base...
