S5 Bumper with 626 lip!
I know he did all himself and has that satisfaction, im just saying that for the amount of time into it he puts himself into the position that his time was worth more then what lips are selling for.
So are you going to smooth that one out and paint it a gloss or leave it a flat spray paint finish?

Heres what i do every day
wake up at 7am, go to school till 950am come home and work on my car or do whatever i have to get done at the shop. When im making this lip im also making a piece that goes in between the headlights in that big opening. i used to have a carbon fiber one but i sold it now i will have an aluminum one. im doing both of these at the exact same time just switching from one to the other there right next to each other haha. This lip will be finished gloss black along with the bumpers. That lip is going on that bumper and that bumper is going on that car.
So i figured, time is free, paints free, the only thing not free was the lip and material to strengthen the lip and "fine tune it"
Let you in on a little secret. i have a few hours into it. i got the pass side fitted in them couple hours my father has like 2 hours in it, got the other side done, the piece in the middle welded on, the center seam welded, the back of the bumper fixed, the side of the bumper fixed there was a nick in it, and a few other things. He could have this lip finished and in paint and the bumper installed in less than 2 hours but what does that teach me? I told him im im going to finish it so you dont touch. i was already kinda pissed he went and did all that.
its cool, but also remember a bodyworked plastic lip wont survive a curbing too well, if you have more time why not make a mold of your part and make a glass lip, then you can do what you like with it.
you ever see what happens to the bodywork on a bumper when its tapped into something? usually falls off in a good size chunk

Right now the lip as a whole is straigh and true. before it was plastic welded i made everything straight. the only part thats not straight is the center at the top were were the piece was welded on for the mouth indentation of the bumper. Thas only 1/8 off if that. When you see the finshed product im sure you will like! I will be building plastic welded up on some spaces like in the corners of the mouth and a few other areas so its a little more "custom". I will post part numbers of a few things.
