And 4th tops out in my s4 GXL around 128 as well....... so you've got some missing power to find too! :-)

Erm...if you 'topped out' fourth gear and hit a tree...you uh....you would have a lot more damage than that my friend.

 

its not even a gxl or a gtu is a SE so no lsd >_> i raced it against my boys miata a couple of time and he told me in 5th we wer doing 127mph.....the speedometer is broken so my average guesstemate would be 115.....and the reason it no damged even worse was because i hit the brakes and slowed down to about.....45-60mph..and who ever told me to get a NISSAN i wasnt drifting......besides 240sx's are full of fail in my opinion anyway........

 

lets just be glad you didnt smash against the tree at over 100+ mph......that would be gruesome.

Keep homonal rages to a minimum when driving. You may or may not have heard this before, so I'm going to tell you. You're an idiot. Most people go through a phase of feeling invincible; feeling like they can drive better than anyone else, and I've seen it alot with people who own Rx7's. The car has a reputation for handling well, with decent power. Doesn't mean the driver has any more skill.

When you're driving any car, picture yourself as driving a 2000+ lb weapon. Be responsible, and do me a favor and let me know the next time you get on the road when I'm nearby, because I don't want you to kill me and my family. It seems like from the first post that you may be a little proud of this, and I can tell you now that there are MANY people here that DO NOT condone driving >speed limit on public roads.

Oh, and let's not even mention the fact that you were racing on a highway. Next time you feel like getting F&F on the road, go out and buy a Honda Civic, rice the **** out of it, take it to some remote location with nobody around, top it out in 5th gear (if the car can) and run it into a wall. That'll take care of 2 problems in this world.

Here's what you should do. Buy a DD. Something that will get you back and forth from school/work/wherever you need to get... reliably. Buy a shell, swap the goods, put ALOT of QUALITY work into your car. Drive it only on the track or weekends. I guarantee that if you put your hard blood/sweat/tears into it, you'll think twice before screaming down a road that could potentially have innocent people just trying to get home, potentially ruining all that work you just did to your car.

I hope you learned your lesson with this and that all other drivers on the road are safer for it. Impaired driving is dangerous, stupid, and quite illegal.

You have only yourself to blame for this situation. You were speeding in an impaired state in unsafe conditions. The Nissan cutting you off is incidental. Would have been a non-issue if you were driving responsibly.
